Areia once said that walking into Mera's room felt like walking into a hotel room. He can't... exactly argue that point. It's not just the mostly plain grey walls either. Perhaps their worst offense (according to Areia) is the wooden tile he chose as his floorboards when decorating. "I don't see what's so strange about it."

"Dude," Areia scoffed, more insulted than Mera thought she should have been about bedroom flooring. "You put wooden flooring in a bedroom. How are you supposed to sleep on the floor now?"

As much as Mera really wanted to question why they should actively worry about needing to sleep on the floor, an argument with Areia generally wasn't worth it.

The few decorations on his walls didn't help since they were all gifts from friends- posters for bands he didn't know and group photos printed out. Aside from the neatly made bed tucked into the corner, all Mera kept in his room was a simple desk with standard work supplies kept in drawers so the surface was clear.

"It's much too plain." Hyacinth complained when she gently placed the pale white succulent- Echeveria, apparently- on his desk. "This will help you start to liven it up!"

The 'hearty, long lasting plant' died four days later. His room returned to its bland, somewhat postered state.

Perhaps he should invest in some actual decorations one day soon, before Areia decides the axe indent and scorch mark on his floor aren't enough.
